Boa Entrada! This is how they say in Portuguese when wishing a happy new year, a successful entry into this new chapter we're all writing together.

A sold-out start to the year
And what a start it has been! The holidays have given us intense days, full of energy and new faces. So many travelers have chosen to welcome 2026 with us, in Boa Vista, and we have welcomed them wholeheartedly (and with a pinch of healthy organizational madness).
Our sea-view apartments on the beautiful Praia de Cabral were filled with laughter, toasts, and shared sunsets. Those seeking urban, contemporary comfort found a home at the White Hotel, just 100 meters from the lively Estoril Beach and the beating heart of Sal Rei.
But Boa Vista isn't just about enjoying it from the terrace (though the view is worth hours of contemplation): our staff has accompanied dozens of guests on off-road and quad bike tours through dunes, deserts, and hidden corners of the island. Authentic experiences, the kind that make you feel part local, part explorer.

Full service also means solving the unexpected
December and early January in Boa Vista mean one thing: everything is full. Restaurants included. And this is where our full-service philosophy comes into play: prompt reservations, tables found even when it seemed impossible, last-minute snags resolved with a phone call (or two, or three).
Because for us, "taking care" isn't just a figure of speech: it's responding when needed, with real solutions.
And then there's the Fan Card , our ace in the hole. Discounts large and small, courtesy, that feeling of being "inside" and not just passing through. Our customers know it: with us, travel is different.
Blue Monday? We're already thinking about the next few months (which are spectacular).

But today is January 19th , and yes, it is officially Blue Monday – the saddest day of the year according to urban legend (and statistics on grey, post-holiday weather gloom...).
But who said we have to suffer it?
We have a surefire antidote: look at what awaits us in the coming months in Boa Vista . And believe us, it's exciting.
February: Whales, Kitesurfing, Carnival, and a Romantic Valentine's Day

This is the season for lovers of water and wind sports. Kitesurfing, windsurfing, foiling, surfing. The conditions are perfect, the ocean is an endless playground, and the beaches are filled with colorful sails dancing on the waves.
But there's more. Starting February 15th, boat trips to spot humpback whales will resume. These giants of the sea return every year to the warm waters off Boa Vista to breed, and seeing them emerge just meters from the boat is a breathtaking experience.
Carnival in Boa Vista (February 12-17): big party!
And then there is Carnival , which is very popular in Cape Verde.
When you think of the Cape Verde Carnival, the one in Mindelo, on São Vicente, immediately comes to mind—the most famous and spectacular in the archipelago. But Boa Vista also celebrates in style , with parades, music, color, and that shared feeling that makes every moment special. From February 12th to 17th, the island is transformed. If you happen to be there during those days, let yourself be swept away.

And in between? Valentine's Day . If you're looking for the perfect romantic getaway, this is it: a waterfront apartment on the beach, the sound of the waves as your soundtrack, and dinner at one of the many restaurants that have made Boa Vista a culinary destination not to be missed.
Where to eat (well) in Boa Vista and new openings:

Some names? Sodade , housed in a renovated sobrado , is a timeless classic for those seeking atmosphere and refined cuisine.
But there are many new openings, all of which are interesting:
Mornas , with its terrace overlooking Estoril Beach. Fusion cuisine, superb desserts, even for dreamy breakfasts, fresh pastries, couscous, and catch of the day.
Osteria Blu Marlin , reopening under new management in the (also new) piazza. A slice of Puglia in Boa Vista, authentic Italian cuisine and outdoor seating for dinner under the stars.
Conversa 1 and 2 , two typical restaurants in the heart of the village where you can taste authentic Cape Verdean cuisine, including papa (the local polenta!).
Cremositos , opened last summer: refined, innovative Italian cuisine that surprises you with every course.
Casa del Piscador , a spectacular location on the bay facing the islet: tapas, fresh fish, and unforgettable sunsets.
Bowlavista is now a classic, but it's worth a visit for vegetarians. Fresh vegetables straight from the owner's hydroponic greenhouses, creative appetizers, and juices that are small works of art. The fish and revisited cachupa are also excellent.
Easter on the beach? Yes, please.

And as we write about February, it's already time to think about Easter : barbecues on the beach, picnics at sunset, long, lazy days where the only pressing issue is deciding whether to dive in before or after lunch.
Spring in Boa Vista means perfect temperatures, fewer crowds, even clearer seas, and that relaxed atmosphere that makes every vacation unforgettable.
Whether you're dreaming of a week of pure relaxation, a road trip through villages and deserted beaches, or a romantic getaway with the perfect person, now's the perfect time to start planning. And we, as always, are here to turn that dream into a real experience.
Boa Entrada, indeed. May it be the beginning of a year filled with travel, discoveries, and unforgettable moments.
