A recent initiative aimed at keeping traditions alive and bringing employment to the villages, Cabrer Journey , offers a visit to a goat farm. Experience a day like a cabrer, complete with straw hat, milking, learning how cheese is made, and then tasting and making a pequeno almoço like the farmers. Or you can visit the donkey farm, Nha Orta . There are many native donkeys living in the wild, and here they have decided to give them a home, opening it to visitors for a hands-on experience with the tender donkeys.
